1. Preliminary Work

When we receive the sample you give to us, the primary job is to measure material shrinkage parameters, part rotation and tip positions, and what standard components are going to be used.

2. 3D Drawing

3D Drawing makes it substantially easier to achieve standardization and synchronization across design and manufacturing of ford truck restoration parts, resulting in fewer errors, speeding up delivery, and obtaining more reliable results.

3. Mould Making

Our master technician is experienced in strongmold making. Additionally, we use electrical discharge machining to produce fine details, surface finish work, and intricate cavities and shapes, which help the finished products to very close tolerances.

4. Injection Moulding

Molten resin is injected under high pressure into the cavity of a metal die and then cooled, forming a solid shape. But firstly, we will dry the plastic material to prevent bubbles, which makes the finished product more notable.

chrome plating

5. Chrome Plating

Using chrome plating technology, our early ford wheels, car lights, and other bodykits are more reflective, bluer, and specular than other finishes, also resists corrosion in harsh environments.

6. Hand Polishing

Our workers perform hands on polishing to achieve top quality in a timely manner, achieving the mold dimensional accuracy and productivity, according to instructions and engineering drawings.

FAQs

Are old Ford truck parts interchangeable across different model years?

It is so dependent on the generation. Some of the mechanical parts may be used; however, body panels and trim may vary. We strongly suggest that before buying, one should consult a detailed classic Ford parts catalog to prevent the problem of fitment. This will allow you to find the very compatibility of old Ford truck parts relevant to certain time periods, such as the Bumpside (1967-1972) or Dentside (1973-1979) eras, which will make you end up paying more in your workshop because of certain mistakes.

Here is a quick comparison:

Feature “Bumpside” (1967–1972) “Dentside” (1973–1979) Restoration Note (复产重点)
Body Line  Convex (Outward): The beltline body molding protrudes out from the metal. Concave (Inward): The beltline features a groove or “dent” that goes in to the metal. Crucial: Trim moldings are NOT interchangeable. Ensure customers order the correct profile.
Front Grille Generally simpler grid patterns. Specific designs for ’67, ’68, ’69, and ’70-’72 (inserts). More complex designs. late models (’78-’79) introduced the iconic large “split grille” look. Grilles are specific to the year range. ’78-’79 grilles are high-demand items.
Headlights  Round Sealed Beams on all models throughout the generation. Round (early models & custom) / Square/Rectangular introduced on higher trims in 1978-1979. Headlight bezels (灯框) differ significantly between the round and square versions.
Cab Interior  Steel Dash: More utilitarian, painted metal dash with simple instrument clusters. Padded Dash: More “modern,” car-like interior with plastic instrument bezels and woodgrain options. Interior switches, dash pads, and gauge clusters are completely different molds.
Fuel Tank  Located Inside the Cab (behind the seat) for most models. Relocated to the Rear Frame (under the bed) for safety on most models. Fuel filler necks/caps are in different locations (cab corner vs. bed side).
Chassis Width  Narrower rear frame rails (approx. 33.5″). Widened rear frame rails (approx. 37.5″) introduced in 1973. Bed Swap Warning: You cannot bolt a Dentside bed directly onto a Bumpside frame without modification.
What are the hardest components to find for a vintage F-Series project?

The greatest challenge is quality cosmetic products. Original old Ford wheels, gleaming chrome bumpers, and generation-specific grille inserts are getting due rare. This has been the reason why original f100 restoration parts, especially exterior parts, and interior bezels have become extremely sought after in the reproduction market to complete showroom-quality builds.

Can Sunway Autoparts help if I can't find a specific part for my inventory?

Yes. In case a part is not available in the market, we will produce the parts to your order. We are experts at manufacturing demanded Ford truck restoration parts by reviving engineering. And with just a broken sample or technical drawing, our team is able to develop a precision mold, and make the part, and you can supply the gaps in your supplies to customers.
